A pedestrian has died after being hit by a motorcycle in Kaliaap, Rampur Municipality-6, Palpa, on the Pipaldanda-Gaidakot road under the Kaligandaki Corridor.
The deceased has been identified as Shyam Bahadur Sen Thakuri, 64, of Rampur Municipality-7, Majhuwa, according to the police. While going from Gezha Bardale to Bejhad in Rampur, a motorcycle bearing the number Lu 78 Pa 2807 hit a pedestrian, Sen Thakuri. Thakuri, who was seriously injured in the collision, was immediately taken to Rampur Hospital for treatment, but died during treatment, said Police Inspector Lal Bahadur Sunar of the Area Police Office, Rampur.
The motorcyclist who was involved in the accident, Himal Rana, 23, of Rampur-6, Tilakpur, and Meg Bahadur Khangaha, 21, who was sitting behind, were injured, according to the Area Police Office, Rampur. After receiving primary treatment at Rampur Hospital, the motorcyclist has been brought to Lumbini Medical College Prabhas Tansen for further treatment.
