A municipal hospital building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 175.628 crore in Madhyabindu Municipality of Nawalparasi (east of Bardaghat Susta).
The Municipal Hospital building has been constructed in Chormara of Madhyabindu Municipality.
The foundation stone was laid in Mangsir 2079 BS and the construction of the building began. Madhyabindu Municipality Mayor Bhimlal Adhikari informed that the building of the well-equipped Madhyabindu Municipal Hospital was constructed in a period of three years.
The Chormara Primary Health Center has been upgraded and a 15-bed municipal hospital has been reconstructed, the municipal mayor said. The building was inaugurated on Sunday.
The municipal mayor said that with the construction of the two-story hospital with 42 rooms, it has become easier to provide health services. The newly constructed hospital building has outpatient services, labs, operation theaters, pharmacies, internal medicine departments, administrative services and doctor accommodation rooms.
The municipal mayor said that the hospital has been constructed with well-equipped infrastructure and is now in the process of adding services to provide quality health services.
The municipal official said that the residents of Madhyabindu Municipality, including Binayi Triveni, Hupsekot and East Palpa, will be able to get health services from the Madhyabindu Municipal Hospital. He said that with the construction of the fifteen-bed hospital, health care services will also be expanded.
The municipal official said that work has been progressing to provide one specialist service every day, including MDGP, from this month. He said that services including pediatrics, physiotherapy, and orthopedics will be provided. An eye hospital has also been brought into operation at the hospital.
He said that eye patients in this area can benefit further since eye treatment services including surgery have been started. The municipal official said that the municipal hospital will help the residents of rural areas to easily get health services near their homes.
‘With the construction of a well-equipped municipal hospital, it will be easy for the residents of this area to easily get health care services nearby,’ said the municipal official. Madhyabindu Municipal Hospital is currently receiving treatment for around 300 patients daily, said Amresh Chandra Shah, the hospital's chief. Shah said the hospital also operates emergency treatment services.
He said that since it is located along the East-West Highway, the municipal hospital will help provide timely treatment to those injured in possible accidents in the highway area around Madhyabindu.
