A straw hut has caught fire in two places in two days. A straw hut caught fire in Katti village, Gulariya Municipality-3, on Sunday afternoon and a straw hut caught fire in Banbirpur, Thakurbaba Municipality-5, on Saturday late.
Locals said that a 4-year-old boy from Katti was playing with matches when a straw hut near his house caught fire. Police said that a buffalo and a cow tied nearby were burnt in the fire. The fire was completely brought under control after an hour with the help of the Gulariya Municipality fire brigade, police and locals.
Similarly, a fire broke out on Saturday in a straw hut ten meters away from the house of Pushmakhar Upadhyay of Thakurbaba Municipality-5, Banbirpur, in which the calf of the cow was burnt and the neck of the cow tied together was burnt by the flames, according to police.
