On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, 3.977 million offerings have been collected from the Satyawati Mela in Palpa over the four days. The counting of offerings made by devotees who came shouting to ask for boons began on Kartik 20 and ended on Sunday.

The offerings collected at the fair held at the Satyawati Bajyai temple in Koldanda were counted in the presence of Tinau rural municipality employees, public representatives, committee representatives, and security personnel.

The devotees who reached the fair collected Rs. 1.2 million 12 thousand from cash receipts, and Rs. 487 thousand from stalls at the fair site, pigeon sales, and goat sales. The offerings offered by the devotees amounted to Rs. 2.2 million 77 thousand 845, informed the Chairman of the Satyawati Temple Lake Conservation Committee, Dan Bahadur Gaha.

The committee stated that more than 200,000 devotees visited the lake and Satyawati Bajyai temple at the fair held at Satyawati Lake, which has the highest public participation in the district. Last year, donations and offerings of Rs. 3.2 million 81 thousand 870 were collected from the fair held at Satyawati Lake. According to Chairman Gaha, devotees were found to have offered silver and gold ornaments to Satyawati Bajyai at the fair. Devotees have offered silver bracelets, bracelets for hands, gold amulets and chains for necks.

The funds collected at Satyawati will be spent on the development of the temple and the road infrastructure leading to Satyawati Lake, said Gaha, the chairman of the committee.

The funds collected from the funds collected at Satyawati will be spent on the development of the temple and the road infrastructure leading to Satyawati Lake, under the joint investment of Tinau Rural Municipality and the Temple Management Committee. There is a legend that in ancient times, Satyawati Bajjayi attained power after performing penance in the middle of the forest in the Satyawati forest area.

Since Satyawati Bajjayi is deaf and cannot hear, devotees approach Satyawati Lake and shout and ask for the boon they desire. Based on the popular belief that Bajjayi will fulfill the boon they asked for, devotees come again as per their vows.
