Police arrested 10 people on Wednesday on charges of arson, vandalism, and looting of various government offices in Ghorahi and Tulsipur during the protests on Bhadra 10.

The arrested include two people who committed arson, vandalism and looting at the District Court, Ghorahi, and three people who committed arson, vandalism and looting at the District Traffic Police Office, Ghorahi, said District Police Spokesperson DSP Chakra Bahadur Shah.

Similarly, two people who committed arson, vandalism and looting at the High Court, Tulsipur, and three people who committed arson, vandalism and looting at the temporary police post at Tulsipur Bus Park, he informed.

The arrested include 25-year-old Navin Nepali, a resident of Bhamke, Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-1, currently residing at Traffic Chowk, Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-15, and 37-year-old Krishna Pandey, a resident of Kaule, Chhatradev Rural Municipality-7, Arghakhanchi, and residing at Naya Bazaar, Ghorahi-14. DSP Shah said that they are being investigated by extending their remand for five days by the District Court on charges of criminal entry and criminal nuisance.

Similarly, Haider Ali, 18, of Milanchowk, Ghorahi-15, Akash Giri, 30, and Basanta Adhikari, 47, of Bhanpur, Ghorahi-3, have been arrested for committing arson, vandalism, and robbery at the District Traffic Police Office, Ghorahi. DSP Shah informed that they are being investigated by extending their remand for seven days by the District Court on charges of criminal entry and criminal nuisance.

Similarly, Rupesh Nepali, 26, of Rajapur, Tulsipur-7, and Sunil Wali, 18, of Bagchaur Municipality-2, Salyan and currently residing in Tulsipur-9, Beluwa, have been arrested by the High Court, Tulsipur.

Similarly, Karan Sunar, 20, Mukesh Bhandari, 18, residents of Tulsipur-5, Bus Park, and Gyanendra Gandharva, 18, resident of Tulsipur-6, Shantinagar Tole, have been arrested for arson, vandalism and looting at a temporary police post located at Tulsipur Bus Park. DSP Shah said that the district court has extended their remand for five days for all of them on charges of criminal entry and criminal nuisance.
