The contractor 'Sharma & Company' had signed an agreement on December 16, 2022 to construct the airport's new terminal building (Block A, B and C), aircraft parking area, vehicle parking, guest house, sewage management, gardens, pavements, toilets and other structures. The building, which includes cutting-edge technology and facilities, is said to be able to serve 1,600 passengers per hour during peak hours. The construction company, which started work in December 2079, had accelerated the work to complete it in three years, that is, next December.
