Of the 41 Indian and remaining Nepali prisoners who escaped from Parasi Jail in West Nawalparasi on Bhadra 10, 342 have been contacted so far. Of the 41 escaped Indian prisoners, only 2 have been arrested, while 39 are still out of contact.

Since it is a border district, security personnel suspect that they have entered India. Even if the Nepali prisoners are not contacted on time, they can be arrested at some point, but there is confusion in the district's security mechanism regarding bringing the Indian prisoners to Nepal.

Anupam Shrestha, Chief Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, West Nawalparasi, said, "Some of the escaped prisoners came on their own, some were handed over to the jailer by their guardians, and some were arrested by the police. Although it is easy to bring Nepali prisoners, discussions are underway on how to bring Indian prisoners and coordination is being done with the Indian police."
