The interim government formed after the Gen-G movement had on February 21 directed that the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker, National Assembly Chairman, provincial chiefs and ministers should have only three secretariat members and implement it accordingly.

Following the decision made by the association, service facilities for private individuals have been stopped in Lumbini for the past two months. In a discussion of the Law Committee held under the Provincial Assembly today, it was decided to issue instructions not to obstruct any service facilities for office bearers and private individuals. The Provincial Affairs and Law Committee meeting made this decision after studying a letter sent from the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.

It has been requested not to infringe on the privileges of the Provincial Assembly as per Article 187 of the Constitution. In addition, the committee has suggested to the government to implement the directive of the federal government in such a way that expenses other than facilities falling within the jurisdiction of the province are reduced as per Article 196 of the Constitution of Nepal, as per the Act on Remuneration and Facilities of Office Bearers and Members of the Provincial Assembly, 2075 BS.  The committee has drawn the necessary attention to the Lumbini Provincial Government in this regard and directed it to move forward in accordance with the spirit of the constitution and the principle of federalism.
