A son has killed his father in Gulmi by stabbing him with a sickle and a mongro. Bhotbahad Bik, 23, of Hwangdi Myal, Malika Rural Municipality-3, killed his father, Dhan Bahadur Bik, 52, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Gulmi.
According to the police, the mother, 49-year-old Dilmaya BK, was also injured. The father died on the spot due to the blows with a sickle and a mongrel. The mother was sent to Palpa via Gulmi Hospital for treatment and is currently being treated at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal. Her condition is also critical, according to the police. The incident took place on Saturday evening.
The son, Bhot Bahadur BK, who killed his father and seriously injured his mother, is currently under police custody. The police suspect that he may have beaten his own parents due to his deteriorating mental condition.
