Thai Air Asia has resumed flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa from Sunday. Thai Air Asia is the only airline operating international flights from Bhairahawa recently.
The plane that arrived in Bhairahawa from Bangkok, Thailand with 17 passengers is preparing to return to Bangkok with 162 passengers.
According to Pratap Babu Tiwari, General Manager of the airport, Thai Air Asia has started flights on the Bangkok-Bhairahawa-Bangkok route twice a week. General Manager Tiwari said that the company has approved the flight schedule to operate regular flights on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Nepal Airlines and Himalaya Airlines, which previously operated flights, are currently unable to operate regular flights from Bhairahawa.
