A leopard that had entered the village from Thumani, Bansgadhi Municipality-9, was captured on Tuesday night.

A joint team of Bardiya National Park and the National Trust for Nature Conservation has taken control of a problematic leopard. The leopard had been entering the village and attacking livestock. 

The leopard, which had entered a cage in the area adjacent to the Belghari Intermediate Community Forest in Thumani Dakshin Tole, Bansgadhi Municipality-9, was taken into control, said Surya Khadka, Conservation Officer of Bardiya National Park. 

The leopard that was taken into control has been released into a safe habitat, said Ajit Tumbahamphe, Chief of the National Trust for Nature Conservation.
