Twelve passengers were injured in a jeep accident in the Baikunthe Bhir area near the tourist spot Ranimahal in Palpa on Wednesday. The jeep (Lu 1 Ja 4593) was heading from Butwal to Gulmi via Palpa when it met with an accident in the Baikunthe area of ​​Tansen Municipality-13.

Police have stated that the vehicle overturned on the road at Baikunthe Oralo on the Tansen-Rani Mahal road section. The injured in the accident are from Badighat, Nisikhola, Baganaskali, Bardaghat in Baglung, Nawalparasi, and Sainamaina in Rupandehi, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Hom Prakash Chaudhary. 

The injured in the accident on the Oralo road are being treated at the Mission Hospital in Tansen. The condition of one of the injured is critical. The health condition of 11 others is normal.

Police have stated that the accident may have occurred due to the brakes overheating and not working on the Oralo road. Despite the road being steep and uneven in grade, vehicles going to Gulmi and Baglung pass through here.
