For the election of the House of Representatives to be held on February 21, young people are seen more in registering the voter list in the district. At the District Election Office located at Bhikshu Chowk, the headquarters, Taulihwa, youths are seen mostly in coming to take pictures from morning to evening.

In the last five days, 366 people have taken photos and applied to include their names in the electoral roll. After the change after the Gen-G movement, the election was announced, so the youth were willing to become voters. District Election Officer Kamal Bhusal said that there has been an increase in the number of people coming to take pictures on October 10, 11, 12, 20 and 21.

The office was closed from October 13 to 19 during Dasain holidays. Election officer Bhusal said that more than 80 percent of young voters in the age group of 17 to 22 years are coming to apply. He said that the election office is providing services from 8 am to 6 pm through two computers for ease of crowding.

After the increase in people coming to take photos for the voter list, the market has also increased. Along with the announcement of the election, the Election Commission has brought an ordinance and decided to collect and update the voter list by the end of next month.

In the House of Representatives election held on November 4, 2007, there were 176 thousand 105 women, 22 thousand 125 men and 378 thousand 232 voters in Kapilvastu.
