Since the installation, the idol of Durga Devi was kept by the priests during Navratri. The idol of Durga, which was installed on the day of Ghatasthapana, used to be thronged by devotees who performed puja, aarti and bhajan kirtan in the evening, morning and afternoon.
Jai Yadav of Gulria Municipality-7 said that the statue of Durga Mata, installed during Navratri, creates a buzz in the village. "Throughout Navratri, the village was resounding with 'Jai Mata Di'," he said, "There were crowds of devotees worshiping all around. Today, after the idols of Durga Mata placed in various places are forgotten, the village will be quiet." "Idols kept at different places will be buried at four ghats in Bhada, Kusumbalagayat," Prazia Paudel said, "The time for idol burial has been fixed till sunset, we have mobilized all the security personnel available in the district for security."
