Kailali police have detained four people along with two pistols that were stolen during the demonstration on August 24.

The police said that a 7.62 mm pistol of type-54 (No. 29002065), one magazine and 28 rounds of bullets were recovered from the house of 19-year-old Sameer Khadka, resident of Gauriganga Municipality-1 of the district. A revolver bearing the number BRF-5582 was also recovered from the possession of 19-year-old Abhas Chand, who lives in the same place.

22-year-old Himal Acharya of the same place and 20-year-old Jivesh Sapkota of Attaria-3 who were involved in the act of hiding arms were also arrested, according to District Police Office Kailali.

According to the police, a joint team deployed from District Police Office Kailali, Area Police Office Malakheti and Area Police Office Chaumala seized the weapons. The police said that further investigations are being conducted on the arrested persons.
