From last July 15 to the first week of August, 87 people were infected in Palpa.
97 in Rupandehi, 37 in Banke, 91 in Dang, 18 in Bardiya and 15 in Kapilvastu in Terai of Lumbini Province. In the hilly district of Palpa, dengue infection has increased last year and this year. 51 in Gulmi, 9 in Nawalparasi West, 40 in Arghakhanchi, 11 in Rolpa and 14 in Pyuthan, 4 in Rukum West, according to Lumbini Province Health Directorate.

He said that the dengue infection in Palpa has also increased due to climate change and the global average temperature of the earth's surface is increasing every year.
'Find and destroy' is not effective
Lumbini province health directorate, health office, local level 'search and destroy' campaign has not been effective. In spite of conducting a 'search and destroy' campaign through all the local level health branches of the district to control dengue infection, the infection has increased.
Lumbini state government sent 4 lakh budget for Palpa for dengue control and public awareness program in fiscal year 2081/82. According to Pokharel, acting head of the health office, 392,000 has been spent. The
office said that the search and destruction and orientation of the residences were conducted in Jhumsa and Dobhan of Tinau Rural Municipality, Nairanmatles and Pokharathok of Bagnaskali Village, Muzung and Chhahara of Rainadevi Chhahara, Tahun and Humin of Rambha, Rupse and Kaseni and Tansen of Mathagadi. Acting Chief Pokharel said that the budget was spent on discussion and interaction with women volunteers, public representatives and mobilization of volunteers.
