A local holiday has been given on Sunday in 14 municipalities and rural villages on the occasion of Badki Sunday festival of the Tharu community. Emergency services will continue.
On the occasion of Badka Atwari (Badki Sunday) festival, 14 local levels of Rupandehi have given local holiday on August Sunday.
Tilottama, Siddharthnagar, Sainamaina, Devdah, Lumbini Cultural Municipality, Siyari, Suddhodhan, Rohini, Gaidahwa, Omasatiya, Kothimai, Marchwari, Sammarimai and Mayadevi Rural Municipality of the district have given local holidays on the occasion of this festival.
On the occasion of 'Badki Sunday', an important festival of the Tharu community, apart from emergency services, the municipal office, subordinate ward offices, health and educational institutions have been given a local holiday on Sunday.
