Local level institutional capacity self-evaluation has been done to improve the governance process and development management by taking account of the local level's working process and achievements.
Khajura Rural Municipality of Banke has become the best municipality among 8 local levels of Banke in the self-evaluation of institutional capacity. Based on Local Government Institutional Capacity Self-Assessment (LIZA), Khajura scored 85.75 points in 2080/81 and became the best municipality in the district.
Similarly, Banke's Kohalpur Municipality and Raptisonari Rural Municipality have scored the same 82.75 points, while Nepalgunj Sub Metropolitan Municipality has scored 82 points. Similarly, in the local level institutional capacity self-evaluation, Duduwa Rural Municipality of Banke got 81.75, Baijnath Rural Municipality got 76.50 and Janaki Rural Municipality got 73 points in performance evaluation .

Khajura got 8.50 in government management, 8 in organization and administration, 7 in management in annual budget and plan formulation . 10.25 in financial and economic management, 12.50 in service delivery, 7 in judicial performance, 10 in physical infrastructure, 10 in social inclusion, 7 in environmental protection and disaster management, and 5.50 in cooperation and coordination. Dambar Bahadur Wik Tufan, chairman of Khazura Rural Municipality, said that the people's representatives made policies, programs and necessary decisions based on the indicators set by the
procedure and efficiently performed the responsibilities of the employees.
