Police have arrested a person from Rolpa who raped an elderly person. According to the police, 52-year-old Dhute Roka of Thabang Rural Municipality-2, who was involved in rape while alone at home, was arrested on Thursday.
Roka has been accused of raping 62-year-old '53 Ghartigaon 1A' (name changed) of Thabang-2 when she was alone at home. On July 28, a written application was received from the victim to the police saying that the old man was raped at 9:30 pm on July 23.
According to the area police office Ghartigaon, Roka was arrested by the Thabang police after the application. The police was deployed under the leadership of Inspector Vidurchandra Adhikari, in-charge of the area police office, Thabang. Police Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi, Information Officer of the District Police Office, said that an investigation is being conducted under the police office at Ghartigaon regarding the alleged arrest and the incident.
