Women of the Madhesi community celebrated three Chhattis festivals with Dhumdham on Thursday, especially wishing for the long life of their son. This festival is celebrated to wish long life of children and husband.

For the festival celebrated by worshiping Kush, the fasting women went outside the district police office at headquarters Taulihwa, Nepalese army barracks and the twenty-four thousand canals and other places where Kush is located. There was a crowd of devotees. Some people worshiped in their own homes.

There was a crowd in the forest area near Tilaurakot to get mahua leaves and kush needed for the puja.

On the day of Bhadra Krishna Panchami, women fast and pray. In the morning, there is a tradition of fasting women to brush their teeth with Dativan of Mahua. Three Chhattis festivals are celebrated by bathing in the morning, fasting, worship and bhajan kirtan.

Sita Pandey of Kapilvastu Municipality-12 said that it is a tradition for women who have sons to pray for the happiness and long life of their children and for women who do not have sons to give birth to sons.
