Police have arrested a young man from Nepalganj in Banke with more than 2.2 million cash and 15 grams and 500 milligrams of brown sugar.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Deepak Patli informed that the arrested youth was remanded for four days from the District Court, Banke on Wednesday. 

On the basis of special information, a team deployed from the District Police Office and the Narcotics Control Bureau branch office, Nepalgunj, searched the house of 28-year-old Ramesh Lonia of Nepalgunj 14 on Tuesday night. 

During that, Nepali and Indian brown sugar along with 2.2 million three thousand 915 rupees were seized, Deputy Superintendent of Police Patli said. 

Similarly, various gold and silver ornaments, five pieces of khukuri, two motorcycles and 10 mobile phones have also been seized from his house.  Deputy Superintendent of Police Patli said that four people who tried to create obstacles in the incident were arrested and two of them were detained on the charge of indecently behaving with the police.
