Five Nepalis from Bardia, including members of the same family, have gone missing due to flash floods in Uttarakhand.

After the search operation continued for four days, a person's hand was found on Saturday in Bakuda near the Indus river in Paudi Garhwal of Uttarakhand state of India. It has not been possible to identify whose hand it is.
Chitra Bahadur Paudel of Bardiya Madhuvan said that only one hand was found near Bakuda in Thalisen block of Paudi Gadwal on Saturday. "After continuing the search by walking for about 15 kilometers, only the hand was found," he said. According to him, about 15 Nepali workers and their relatives are searching in the difficult mountain river.
Indian security personnel have reached the scene after the hand was found. Paudel said that the search operation is going on from morning till evening. "Some of the relatives of the missing are now preparing to return home, Indian security personnel are also engaged in rescue operations," he said.
Floods and landslides have affected transport services. Public vehicles are plying from a distance of 15 km from the incident site. Poudel said that there is a compulsion to walk through 15 km of mountainous terrain.
On Wednesday, five Nepali people went missing due to a flood and landslide in Bakuda of Paudi Garhwal in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Similarly, one missing person has been identified. The missing person is Subhash Vick of Gulria squatter village. Paudel said that his relatives have been informed. He said that he got the information that Subhash's father and mother are reaching Bakuda on Saturday.
Similarly, Amrita, the wife of 45-year-old Ramu Periyar of the same municipality-5 village number 8, is missing. His daughter, 21-year-old Lakshmi, was seriously injured. Ram Bahadur came here with his wife and daughter.
Lakshmi Pariyar who is in serious condition is being treated at Shushila Tiwari Hospital Haldwani and Bhupendra Khatri of Madhuvan is being treated at Foundation Hospital Satfli. All Nepalis have come to this place to work as daily wage workers for road construction. Out of 73 people who came from Bardia in three groups at different times, 5 people have disappeared due to flood and landslide.
Uday Gurung of Madhuvan-5, Gopal Thapa of Madhuvan-8, Kaligram Chaudhary of Barbardia Napa-4 and Ashok Periyar of Madhuvan-5 have been discharged from the hospital.
