The road has been blocked due to a landslide in the Siddhababa area after the rains. China State Construction is trying to avert the landslide.

The Palpa-Butwal road section of Siddharth Highway has been blocked since Friday morning due to landslides caused by incessant rain. The highway was blocked by a landslide in Tinau rural municipality-3, Dobhan Siddhababa area of Palpa. The police said that the road was blocked due to heavy rain at 5 am and landslides in Dam side and Siddhababa area.

According to local resident Bishnu Prasad Pandey, the road was blocked due to another landslide along with the rain. As soon as the rain stops, the landslides in Siddhababa area will be removed, police said. As soon as the rain stops, the police will try to open the Siddhababa tunnel under the China State Construction Engineering Corporation's heavy machine immediately. 

As the road was blocked, hundreds of vehicles coming down from the mountains to the Terai and moving from the mountains to the Terai were stranded on the road. As the Siddhababa area of Palpa is blocked, the vehicles and passengers going to destinations like Gulmi, Arghakhanchi, Syangja, Pokhara, Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, Mustang etc. will have to suffer.
