Ashok KC, the president of Nigga multi-purpose cooperative society limited in Siddharth Nagar, Rupandehi, has been arrested. KC was arrested on the charge of embezzling 509 million 84 thousand 165 rupees from the shareholders and savers of the said cooperative in Siddharthnagar municipality-5.
DSP Ganesh Sapkota, Information Officer of District Police Office Rupandehi, said that 34-year-old KC, who has a permanent home in Melung Rural Municipality of Dolakha, was arrested on Wednesday evening.
He was absconding since the 20th of Baisakh after a case was registered and an arrest warrant was issued for the offense of co-operative fraud and fraud. DSP Sapkota said that he was arrested from Madhyapurthimi Municipality-3 of Bhaktapur in collaboration with the Police Department of Bhaktapur. KC has been produced in court for further investigation.
