The district administration office has started the investigation of the person who submitted false information from Bardia and obtained dual Nepali citizenship. In this process, the district administration office said that the citizenship of four people was revoked.

District Administration Office Bardia informed that all four citizenships were revoked last June. Sunil KC of Barbardia Municipality-8 canceled the citizenship made at the district administration office on 15 August 2078. Vinay KC, head of the case section of the administration office, said that he had taken citizenship by submitting false details again.

Similarly, Maya Khadka of former Magaragadi village was revoked after taking citizenship from Maya Lama on 24 July 070. The citizenship of Ramkumari Tharu, who has dual citizenship, and Shri Maya Sunar of Madhuvan Municipality-7 has also been revoked.

Assistant Chief District Officer Roshan Kumar Kadayat said that all those double citizenships were canceled by the decision of the local administration after investigation. He said that currently 6 Nepali citizenships of this nature are under investigation.
