Two children have drowned in Rupandehi. According to District Police Office Rupandehi, they drowned while swimming in the Danda river located in Siddharth Nagar-1 of the district on Saturday around 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
DSP Ganesh said that among the deceased, 14-year-old Prajwal, son of Chandiprasad Aryal, resident of Siddharthnagar-9, Bhattatol resident, and 15-year-old Dinesh, son of Leeladhar Neupane, resident of Siddharthnagar-7. Sapkota informed.
According to him, after the information that the children went missing while swimming, the joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police were searching for them.
5 children went swimming in Dandakhola behind Paklihwa Agricultural Campus. Out of the five people, 3 were rescued safely, while Aryal and Neupane were found dead after drowning.
According to DSP Sapkota, the body has been sent to Bhim Hospital in Bhairawa for post-mortem.
