A 14-month-old baby has died due to snakebite in Maharajgunj Municipality-2 of Kapilvastu. Jhagru Paswan's daughter Sangeeta Paswan was bitten and died by a snake while she was sleeping.
She became unconscious after being bitten by a snake and was taken to Bahadurganj Hospital for immediate treatment.
Goursinge was sent to the Snakebite Treatment Center after treatment was not possible there. Naveen Bhandari, manager of the Gorusinge Snakebite Treatment Center, informed that the infant died on the way while being taken to the center for treatment. Locals have said that even though the fear of snakes is increasing in the village, they are dying due to the lack of effective treatment services.
