Lumbini state government has spent 72.43 percent of the allocated budget for the current financial year till June 25.

The government allocated a budget of 38 billion 97 million for the current year. Out of this budget, only 28 billion 225 million 66 thousand 320 rupees have been spent by Wednesday.

According to Lumbini State Treasury Accounts Controller Office, the state government has spent 17.91 billion 66 million rupees out of 24.58 billion 59 million rupees allocated for capital. This is 72.87 percent of the budget. Similarly, 10 billion 99 million rupees i.e. 71.68 percent have been spent out of the allocation of 14 billion 38 million 41 million rupees.

Lumbini state government has spent more than 5.5 billion budget in June alone. According to the Office of the Controller of Finance and Accounts of Lumbini Province, 5 billion 52 crore 59 lakh 46 thousand rupees have been spent in June.

According to Deepak Gyawali, Head of Lumbini Province Fund and Accounts Control Office, Ministry of Water Supply, Rural and Urban Development of the province has spent the most budget. The Ministry has spent 85.44 percent of the total allocated budget. Similarly, the Office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers spent 38.92 percent of the budget, the Ministry of Economic Affairs 68.20 percent, and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Transport 62.62 percent of the budget. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation has spent 77.07 percent, the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Management has spent 67.69 percent of the budget.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Law and Cooperation has spent 61.83 percent, the Ministry of Forests and Environment 65.75 percent, the Ministry of Social Development 71.38 percent and the Ministry of Health has spent 69.04 percent of the budget.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development has spent 66.93 percent of the budget. 10 billion 48 crore 76 lakh 18 thousand rupees was allocated to this ministry for the current financial year. Out of which 7 billion 1 crore 96 lakh 64 thousand 500 rupees were spent, according to the Office of the Controller of Funds and Accounts.
