After the Nepali Congress General Minister of Lumbini Province Vikram Khanal was taken into action, there is now chaos within the party in West Nawalparasi.

Constituency No. 1 Member of Parliament Vinod Chowdhury has been prosecuted by the Central Disciplinary Committee on the basis of Chaudhary's complaint for non-cooperation in the election. Sanjay Gautam and Rajeev Koirala of the Central Disciplinary Committee wrote a 'Note of Dissent' in recommending action against the law. After the disciplinary committee took action against the state general minister Khanal on June 25, the district working committee of the Nepali Congress decided to send a letter to the central member Devendraraj Kandel for the next five years.
