Three children studying in Kohalpur Bageshwari English Medium School located in Kohalpur Municipality-3 of Banke have gone missing from school.
15-year-old Niraj Thapa, 13-year-old Pawanath Yogi and 12-year-old Rovindra Khadka studying in Class 8 have been out of touch since the afternoon of June 22. According to the principal of
school, Vishnu KC, the students were in the school till 3:55 pm on June 22 and left around 4:30 pm. According to Principal KC, it was learned from their friends that the students had already planned to escape. "Other classmates have heard that they are planning to run away, but it is not clear why and where they went," he said.
Relatives of the students have accused the school of extreme negligence in the incident. Among the missing, Niraj Thapa of Kohalpur-3 Madanchowk used to study in the hostel of the same school.
Three days after their disappearance, the situation is still unknown, but the police initially speculated that they may have reached India.
The head of the local police office Kohalpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lakshmi Khanal said that the initial investigation showed that the students may have reached India.
The police said that necessary coordination is being done with various agencies in India to find out their situation. The school has also appealed to everyone to search through social media with the photos of the students.
During the search, they were seen on the CC camera in front of the district post office at Nepalgunj, about 20 km away from the school, at around 6:30 pm on the day of their disappearance.
