Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Minister Balram Adhikari has said that the government is working diligently to solve the problems of landless and unorganized settlements.
This was said by the Minister while distributing Lal Purja to the landless people of Bardghat in West Nawalparasi. He requested that the land commission at the local level and the district should be active and the necessary coordination should be increased for that. Shambhulal Shrestha, Mayor of Bardghat Municipality, urged the central government to pay attention to this issue as problems such as double registration and irregular registration have emerged.
In Bardghat Municipality, 844 landless Dalits, 1,481 landless Sukum residents and 4,945 unorganized residents have submitted a total of 7,270 applications.
Chairman of District Land Commission Nawalparasi Lal Bahadur Gurung said that some of the lands where landless people are living are mentioned as Kharbari and Ghol areas, so it is a problem to work. In Bardghat Municipality-5 Supplies have been distributed to 67 people.
