Two girls who are studying at the graduation level have married each other. After the marriage, the couple also filed a 'same-sex marriage registration' at the ward office.

Anita of Bhumikasthan Municipality of Arghakhanchi and Vinita (name changed) of Kapilvastu Municipality of Kapilvastu had a love affair while they were studying in college and they got married on 18th May 2082. 

23-year-old Anita Dulaha and 20-year-old Vinita from Arghakhanchi became the bride and registered 'same-sex marriage' in handwritten form, said Jyoti Panthi, Ward Secretary of Bhumikasthan Municipality-9.  

After marriage, they have been living in Kapilvastu. "Initially, it was like confusion, but after we realized it at the municipality, we handwritten and gave the marriage registration certificate," she said.
