4 people who were taking three girls to India have been arrested from the Nepal-India border.
The police have arrested four people on the charges of being involved in human trafficking and trafficking from Nepal-India border Kalidah crossing located in Lumbini Cultural Municipality-13.
On Sunday afternoon, the police team found three Nepali girls being taken to India by Lalife. The police said that four people who tried to illegally cross the border of the girl were arrested.
Those arrested are 38-year-old Geeta Goud, 19-year-old Neha Pandey, a resident of Campiergunj Kunwar Baluwa, Gorakhpur District, Uttar Pradesh, India, 26-year-old Pramod Kumar Dhobi, a resident of the same place, and 19-year-old Nirmala Lodh, a resident of Gaidahwa Rural Municipality-6, Rupandehi, Nepal.
According to the police, they have been active in the border area for a long time and were involved in trying to lure Nepalese children and teenagers to India. Suraj Karki, Information Officer of District Police Office, Rupandehi informed that the necessary investigation has been carried out against the four people who were taken into custody.
