In Rupandehi, two children have died after drowning in a pond formed by the accumulation of water in a ditch. He said that further investigation is going on regarding the incident.

District Police Office Rupandehi said that Anaya Gharti, the 4-year-old daughter of local Raj Gharti and Shubham Gharti, the 6-year-old son of Raj Kishore Gharti of the same place, drowned in a puddle formed by the accumulation of water in a pit at 6 Bodhwar of Rohini Village of the district on Tuesday.

According to DSP Suraj Karki, spokesperson of District Police Office Rupandehi, they fell into the pond and drowned while playing towards that place when no one was at home.
