Congress MP's demand to call back the Congress minister in Lumbini

Dissatisfaction of the ruling party ministers and members of the state assembly with the budget brought by the Lumbini state government is getting worse. In a meeting of the Congress parliamentary party held at the office of the parliamentary party in Deukhuri on Monday, the disgruntled ministers and provincial assembly members demanded that the ministers who went to the government on behalf of the party be called back.

Congress Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Dhanendra Karki presented a budget of 38 billion 91 crores for the next financial year on June 1. Economic Minister Karki and Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya are unhappy after missing many plans in the budget. There are increasing complaints that even the plans recommended by the provincial assembly members are not included in the budget.

In the meeting of the Congress parliamentary party on Sunday, the ministers and members demanded to recall the ministers participating in the government from the Congress as the plans recommended by the MPs were not implemented. Minister of Economic Affairs Karki, Minister of Social Development Janmjay Timilsina, Minister of Forest and Environment Devkaran Prasad Kalwar, Minister of Industry Tourism and Transport Prachanda Vikram Neupane are participating under the leadership of Minister of Water Supply and Urban Development Saroj Thapa (Rose) from Congress.

The government had given the facility to the state assembly members to recommend a scheme of 3 crores like the Parliament Development Fund. 3 crore was directed to give priority to education, health, agriculture and tourism. Although a procedure has been made for such plans to be recommended by members of the Provincial Assembly and the Ministry of Economic Affairs sends them to the relevant ministries for entry in the budget book, the relevant ministries did not enter them and the ministries delayed sending the plans and budgets to the Ministry of Finance.

Member Baijnath Kalwar said that in Sunday's meeting of the Congress parliamentary party, there was a discussion about the plans recommended by the parliamentarians and that the performance of the Congress minister was also weak, and the minister was called back and asked to recommend a new minister . "Now that the plan recommended by the MP is not included in the budget, many friends asked what are the obligations and responsibilities of the Congress minister," he said. Economic Affairs Minister Karki, Social Development Minister Janmjay Timilsina, Tourism Minister Prachanda Vikram Neupane participated in the

meeting. He said that Urban Development Minister Saroj Thapa and Forest Minister Devkaran Kalwar did not come to the meeting. Congress has 27 members in the 87-member state assembly. Among them there are 5 ministers .

Due to the disagreement of many provincial assembly members on the budget, the members also demanded that the issue of the budget should come out even if an inquiry committee was formed. Congress chief whip Jamuna Dhakal said that the discussion on the budget would not be appropriate until the investigation committee or the plan's omission was given a clear answer, so it was agreed to address the issue of dissatisfaction and find a suitable solution for calling a parliament meeting to discuss the budget.

Congress Lumbini president Amarsingh Pun has issued a statement and accused that such budget is unacceptable by saying that middlemen and unauthorized persons have been allowed to enter the budget. He made it clear that the Congress will not accept the next year's budget brought by the government.

The discussion on the budget, which will be held from Saturday at the insistence of Chief Minister Acharya, has become uncertain after the intense dissatisfaction with the budget on the part of the ruling party. The Provincial Assembly Secretariat has published a notice that the Saturday meeting of the Provincial Assembly has been postponed until further notice at the request of the government.

The parliamentary board meeting was held on Sunday to discuss the budget issue. Chief Minister Acharya, Deputy Leader of Parliamentary Party Bhoj Prasad Shrestha, Chief Whip Tulsi Prasad Chaudhary participated in the meeting of the board along with Lumbini State President of UML Radhakrishna Kandel.  One of the participants said that it was concluded that in the

budget, the Congress plannedly missed the plans of the members of the provincial assembly. "However, the conclusion is that there is no option to accept the budget and move forward," he said, "The Chief Minister and the deputy leader of the party also agreed on that." Therefore, he said that after discussing with the Congress, the House will be run within a few days.
