Two people died when a tipper hit a motorcycle in Rupandehi on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased have been identified as 20-year-old Sameer Khan of Sammarimai Rural Municipality-5 and 18-year-old Shivnath Thakur of Kothimai Rural Municipality-7 due to a tipper collision at the turn of Mayadevi Rural Municipality-7, Gargatti Chamrauti Tol.

Lu 2 B 2074, a tipper going from Bangai to Tuesday, hit a motorcycle with Lu 40 P 2373 moving in the opposite direction.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Suraj Karki, Spokesperson of District Police Office Rupandehi, two people on the motorcycle were seriously injured when the tipper hit them. The police have detained and investigated the tipper driver Jagdish Chaudhary. Khan and Thakur, who were seriously injured after the

incident, were declared dead by Bhim Hospital in Bhairawa.
