The Kaligandaki Corridor, blocked since Friday, remained closed today due to continuous landslides.
The corridor has been completely blocked after continuous dry landslides in Hermichour-Arbeni under Kaligandaki rural municipality-1.
District Police Office Information Officer Ganga Bahadur Saru said that there was a problem in operating the road as the landslide stopped. 'Dry landslides are continuously falling from the road, we have asked the passengers to use alternative roads,' said Deputy Superintendent of Police Saru. He said that the road could not be operated immediately.
The Ridi-Bamitaksar road section blocked by landslides has been operational only in one direction. According to the police, the road was partially operational after removing part of the landslide that fell from the road in Sisne Bhir located in Chandrakot Rural Municipality-7 under the said road section.
