58-year-old Dilmaya Acharya of Baghaiyatal rural municipality-8 died after being hit by a motorcycle.
The motorcycle No. 12 P 492 driven by 28-year-old Angat Tharu of Ward No. 7 Rajapur, who was going from Kanthpur to Pachasa on the inner road located at Badhaiyatal-8 Tilkana of Bardia, hit him. The incident took place on Thursday at 8:50 pm. At that time Acharya was standing on the road in front of the house.
His head, chest and left leg were injured in the collision. The injured woman was sent to Banke for treatment. Chief Police Inspector Rajesh Kumar Teli of Area Police Office Mainapokhar informed that the doctor declared the woman dead at around 2:30 a.m. on Friday morning while she was being treated on a ventilator at the Neuro Hospital in Nepalgunj.
The police have detained the motorcyclist.
