Corridor road of Kaligand which was blocked due to landslides has not been operational yet.
Kaligandaki Corridor road under the Gulmi section of Baralba located in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-6 on Monday afternoon, the road was completely blocked after a landslide with rocks fell on the road.
According to Bed Bahadur Thapa, president of the rural municipality of Kaligand, although efforts were made to operate the road till Monday night, due to continuous landslides, there is a problem in operating it. Superintendent of Police Narayan Prasad Adhikari said that after the road was blocked, a police team led by Deputy Inspector Dev Bahadur Bhujel from Police Station Bhurtung was deployed to the landslide affected area.
After the road block, vehicles have been asked to use alternative roads through the mountains. Due to the road being blocked for a long time, the travelers traveling from that area to Parvat, Baglung and Pokhara are facing more problems.
