The Lumbini state government has released a budget of 38 billion 91 crore rupees for the next financial year 2082-083.
Out of which 12 billion 147 million 86 thousand i.e. 30.88 percent has been allocated for current and 23 billion 47 million 14 million 65 thousand i.e. 60.32 percent for capital.
On Sunday, in the thirteenth meeting of the sixth session of the Lumbini State Assembly, Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Dhanendra Karki, while presenting the budget, said that the government has prioritized the budget for agriculture, industry, tourism and infrastructure construction. 3 billion 42 crore 37 lakh 49 thousand i.e. 8.80 percent is estimated for the budget financial transfer.
The Lumbini State Government has resolved to achieve the long-term aspirations of prosperous Lumbini: happy citizens . Under which, the budget has given priority to increase production and productivity in agriculture, access to quality education and health services, entrepreneurship development, sustainable infrastructure development, inclusive development with social justice and creation of productive employment to help reduce economic inequality and poverty.
Minister Karki said that the budget and programs are focused on reducing poverty and reducing economic hardship in order to achieve high and sustainable economic growth.
