The Lumbini state government is going to present the budget for the next financial year 2082/083 on Sunday.
Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Dhanendra Karki has included the 'Annual Estimate of Revenue and Expenditure' in the possible agenda to be presented in the Provincial Assembly at the thirteenth meeting of the Provincial Assembly at 3 pm.
According to the possible agenda published by the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, besides presenting the annual budget, Minister Karki will also submit the 'Bill made to implement the provincial government's financial proposal' in the assembly.
The government has prioritized the main areas related to the prosperity and development of the province in this year's budget. Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya said that the government is ready to concentrate the budget by giving priority to agriculture, industry, tourism, infrastructure, education, health, employment and other sectors.
Based on the continuation of the policies and programs of the provincial government, he said that the government believes that this budget will raise the living standards of the people of the province. The Lumbini state government had brought a budget of 38 billion 97 crores in the current financial year. Acharya informed that the government is preparing to reduce the next year's budget compared to this size.
