Two people died due to electrocution. 57-year-old Rajendrajung Shah of Bansgadhi Municipality-9 Machhagadh died of electrocution on Sunday morning. Similarly, 21-year-old Birendra Tharu of Gularia Municipality-12 Bhaisahi died of electrocution on Saturday evening.

Shah was suddenly electrocuted around 7:30 am on Sunday morning while irrigating rice seeds with a motor in his own farm near his house. Shah, who was electrocuted, was immediately taken to the Kohlpur Medical College for treatment. During the treatment, the doctor declared Shah dead at 8 o'clock.

Tharu was electrocuted at 4:30 on Saturday while building the house of Bhim Bahadur tailor in Baghaiyatal rural municipality-9 Kantipur. While straightening the rod, Tharu was electrocuted when he touched an electric wire. DSP Chakra Bahadur Damarpal of District Police Office Gularia informed that when the injured Tharu was taken to Bardia Hospital for treatment, the doctor declared him dead.
