Two people died in a bus accident on Tulsipur-Amilia road section of Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-13 Bakharia on Sunday. Surya Bahadur Ranamgar, Police Inspector of Area Police Office, Tulsipur informed that the deceased are 37-year-old Shanta Khadka Chaudhary and 65-year-old Narayan Bhandari of Dangisharan Rural Municipality-2.
34 people were injured in the accident. The accident occurred when a passenger bus No. 4 B 4009 coming from Goltakuri towards Tulsipur and an empty bus of Gyan Jyoti Boarding School No. Ra 1 B 870 returning from Bakharia after dropping off students.
After the accident, the passenger bus No. 4 B 4009 fell down about 4-5 meters from the road. As soon as the information about the incident was received, a team of 3 people under the command of Police Assistant Inspector Parashwar Dangi from the temporary police station Damargaon and 12 people under the command of Police Inspector Surya Bahadur Ranamar from the area police office Tulsipur were deployed at the scene.
The injured were immediately rescued and taken to Rapti Provincial Hospital Tulsipur for treatment. Police inspector Rana said that all the injured are residents of Dangisharan Rural Municipality-2. The driver of both the buses involved in the accident and the school bus have been detained by the police. The police said that the incident is being further investigated.
