Rupandehi police arrested two youths with a pistol. Lumbini Cultural Municipality-11 Jitwapur Village Police arrested two youths with a pistol during the clash on the pretext of teasing a girl during the Maha Yagya in Jitwapur village.
According to the police, the clash broke out due to a dispute that escalated after a group of youths who had gone to the Maha Yagya teased the girl. According to the locals, the local youth participating in the Maha Yagya and ward no. There was a clash between youths from 5 Mohsad villages after a dispute on Saturday night.
According to Chief Superintendent of Police Pradeep Chhetri of District Police Office Rupandehi, Maha Yagya started from 2nd June. Police said that he was injured in his hand and leg and is currently being treated at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa. Superintendent of Police Chhetri said that a pistol without ammunition was also recovered from the arrested persons. They have been detained at the Lumbini area police office for further investigation, police said.
