Lumbini State MP Geeta Gurung: She is in UK, her husband is submitting his resignation letter

Geeta Gurung, a member of the Janmat Party who attends the state assembly the least, has sent information that she has resigned as a member of the Lumbini state assembly while staying in the UK.

She has been living in UK for 2 months. However, on Tuesday, she sent a handwritten resignation letter from Britain through her husband Kailash Gurung to Lumbini Provincial Assembly Speaker Tularam Gharti. Even though the news of his resignation came out, the letter of resignation did not reach the Speaker until the news was prepared. Mr. Gurung said that he will meet the speaker and submit his resignation. He did not want to make other details public.

Gurung is the member of the state assembly who attends the least in the Lumbini state assembly. She has attended only 32 out of 73 meetings till the fourth session. Member of the Provincial Assembly, Gurung, after being elected to the Provincial Assembly, has now reached the UK for the third time 2 days ago.

It has also been revealed that he had returned to Britain 2 times without informing the provincial assembly. In her resignation letter sent on Tuesday while addressing the speaker, she mentioned that she believes that no one is above the nation, the country and the people. "It is not suitable for me to remain in my post, and it is not suitable for me to receive my salary from the taxes paid by the people," he wrote in his resignation letter, "Therefore, I submit my resignation to be relieved of my post from today's date." Speaker Gharti and Secretary of the State Assembly Secretariat Durbham Kumar Pun said that no information has been received in the State Assembly regarding the resignation. "The Provincial Assembly has no information that he has gone abroad," he said, "If he has resigned, please be present for identification."

She also mentioned in her resignation letter that the hope of the self-respecting people, parents, brothers, sisters, etc., who were hoping for her service and efficiency, is disappearing. "I feel that the ray of hope of my self-respecting people, parents, brothers, sisters, etc., who have been hoping for efficiency from me, is disappearing," she wrote, "I understand well the heart and soul of the country and the people." Therefore, I believe that no one is above the nation, the country and the people. Her husband Kailash has now left Janmaat Party and became a central member of Jaspa led by Upendra Yadav.

Lumbini Province Parliamentary Party leader Chandrakesh Gupta said that Gurung, a member of the Provincial Assembly, has not been in touch with the party for a long time and has now switched off his mobile phone. "I have also heard rumors that he has resigned," he said, "but he (Gita Gurung) has not been in contact with us for a long time, his mobile phone has also been switched off for a long time." I am also understanding towards the state assembly.

Gurung is the member of the state assembly who attends the least in the Lumbini state assembly. He said that there is a problem in the party because they do not even attend the provincial assembly, do not accept the party's decision and do not keep in touch. "We are talking to the Speaker and getting him to accept the resignation," he said.

"Until now, there is no information about the resignation of anyone to the Speaker," he said, "even the resignation letter that has been made public does not appear to be in a language that can be addressed to the Speaker according to parliamentary practice."
