A man who went fishing in Gulmi was found dead in the river. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru informed that 45-year-old Gyan Bahadur Rakas of Butilgaon, Chatrakot Rural Municipality-2 of the district was found dead.

According to the police, Rakas had gone fishing in Botegaon Regdi Chhahara in Ward No. 1 of Chhatrakot Rural Municipality.

After he went fishing at 12 noon on Monday but did not return till evening, the search for him started. On Tuesday morning at 7.30 am, the locals informed the police after seeing the dead body of Rakus lying in the Badigad river.

A team under the leadership of Police Inspector Kapil Shahi from the local police office Riddi has been deployed at the incident site. The body is being brought to Gulmi Hospital for post-mortem.
