Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chetnarayan Acharya inaugurated Bhalubang Hospital on Monday. Bhalubang Hospital has been upgraded to 50 beds with specialist services through sub health post, health post, proposed hospital. Chief Minister Acharya inaugurated the proposed Bhalubang Hospital after it was recognized as a hospital.
Chief Minister Acharya said that the state government has promoted Bhalubang Hospital as a specialized hospital and quality healthcare services will be ensured along with manpower management. He emphasized that it should be developed as a reliable hospital where the citizens of Dang, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan, Rolpa and other districts can get treatment.
Similarly, Chief Minister Acharya said that specialist treatment services will be conducted effectively from hospitals under the provincial government. He mentioned that the government has taken steps to make hospitals equipped with infrastructure, management of expert manpower, equipment and service delivery. He said that the management of specialist doctors in hospitals in remote areas is given first priority and the government is trying to send the manpower accumulated in hospitals in accessible areas to other places.
Chief Minister Acharya expressed his concern over the lack of expected applications in the advertisement for recruitment of new specialist manpower and said that the government will encourage specialist doctors to come to the province. ``We want to end the situation where specialist manpower accumulates in hospitals in convenient areas but there is no manpower in other hospitals,'' Chief Minister Acharya said, ``Government takes such problems seriously and will take initiatives to improve them.'' The provincial government made it clear that it is committed to providing quality health services while paying attention to good governance, transparency and prevention of corruption. He informed that the government has paid special attention to the manpower management of specialist doctors in hospitals.
Prakash Bishta, chairman of Rapti rural municipality, said that previously there was a compulsion to go elsewhere to get expert services and now that compulsion has ended. In addition, he insisted on the speedy resolution of the land acquisition issue for the hospital.
Health Secretary Durgalakshmi Shrestha informed that specialist treatment services have been expanded at Bhalubang Hospital. She said, ``The provincial government has paid attention to the management of human resources in health institutions. We have paid attention to the use of new equipment while ensuring quality service delivery. It is also important to pay attention to making the health institutions self-sufficient.'' Dr. Ran Bahadur Bogti informed that in the program held under the chairmanship of Medical Superintendent Dr. Akash Belvase on behalf of
hospital, Dr. Ran Bahadur Bogti informed that the proposed hospital has progressed as Bhalubang Hospital through Sub-Health Chowki, Health Chowki. Specialist services have now been extended to hospitals that have been approved as proposed hospitals in 2078.
