Transport Management Office Nawalparasi (Bardghat Sustapur) has collected revenue of 235.4 million 30 thousand 980 in the nine months of the current financial year. The head of the office, Suresh Jaiswal, said that from July to mid-March of the current year, the revenue was collected under various headings including vehicle tax, driver's license, vehicle registration.

During this period, 19 million 12 million 36 thousand 820 for vehicle tax collection, 4 million 9 million 54 thousand 655 for driving license and vehicle registration book, 2.3 million 58 thousand 460 for transportation sector income revenue and 8 million 75 thousand 600 for other administrative service fees have been collected, he said.

Office head Jaiswal said that the Transport Management Office conducted a special campaign in March to make tax collection systematic and effective. Under this campaign, special priority was given to bill book renewal, check pass, route permit and driver's license check. He said that as a positive effect of the campaign, only 48 million 25 thousand 625 revenue was collected in Chait. 

'The provincial government had launched a special plan to streamline the tax collection process with the goal of increasing revenue, accordingly revenue collection also increased,' he said, 'We have been conducting various campaigns for tax collection by making the transport service regular and transparent.' Information Officer Teknarayan Tiwari said that the Transport Office has made special arrangements to provide convenient service to

customers. He informed that additional employees have been assigned to manage the crowd of customers who come to pay taxes.

'A separate counter has been arranged for the purpose of getting the service faster,' he said, 'An arrangement has been made to easily provide documents and other information required for paying taxes.'

Last year 2080/81, the Transport Management Office collected 30 million 35 million 53 thousand 953.
