Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city has implemented a plan to make all the ward offices have their own facilities.
While laying the foundation stone of the ward office building of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-9 on Friday, the head of the sub-metropolitan city Prashant Bista said that the construction of systematic office buildings has started for all the wards that do not have their own buildings.
'Some ward offices of Nepalganj sub-metropolitan city are still forced to provide services from rented houses,' he said, 'As soon as the ward office ensures the arrangement of the land, the sub-metropolitan city will manage the budget for building construction.'
Mayor Bista laid the foundation stone for the ward office building of Nepalganj-9 in Anandnagar tol. He urged the contractor to complete the work on time and said that he would take the initiative to manage the necessary budget.
Govinda Prasad Regmi, ward president of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-9, said that the construction of the ward office building has been started with the aim of providing services to the ward residents more conveniently from their own facility-equipped building.
He informed that in the current financial year, the construction work has been started so that the budget of the ward is Rs. He said that the tender for the construction of the building was accepted for Rs. 33 lakh.
Ward Secretary Tej Bahadur Singh said that the work has been started with a plan to complete the construction of the ward office building on time. Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 ward offices are still providing services from rented houses.
