55-year-old Madika Lonia is preparing for her daughter's wedding on the 5th of Baisakh. But his face is not happy. She is in pain and worry because she has collected six lakh rupees in Shri Gautam Budh Swavalamban Savings and Loan Cooperative Society and is not ready to return it on time.

When the office of the cooperative organization was locked for more than a month, there is financial problem in the household life of small businessmen, farmers, elderly people . Some have no money for their daughter's wedding expenses, some have missed their regular medication, and some have had problems in raising emergency expenses.

Nandalal Chauhan of Sammarimai rural municipality-6 also has the same pain. The daughter's marriage has taken place this Baisakh. But he has also become helpless as he did not get back the money he deposited in the cooperative.

He said, 'We had saved for necessities, but we could not withdraw our own money.' In the same ward, Nandalal Chauhan's father, Budhu Chauhan, had also kept Rs 50,000 of his pension in the same cooperative.

He had planned to withdraw that amount for his granddaughter's wedding expenses. He said, 'Now that plan also seems to be incomplete.'

Chhotelal Lohar, a resident of Asuraina, sought help from his relatives for his daughter's marriage. But the answer of most of the relatives is the same, 'We are lacking, the money we saved by trusting the cooperative is deeply hurt when we don't get it back at this time.' Now, as the marriage is approaching, the money he kept has also become uncertain . Similarly, Rajkumar Kewat relied on savings to buy regular medicines. But now 150,000 are imprisoned.

He said, 'This has caused a risk not only to the cooperative, but also to health.' The controversy started after the management board suspended the manager and office assistant of the cooperative organization on 26 February 2081.

After the dispute reached the court, the High Court Tulsipur Butwal bench gave a short-term order to show cause and keep the decision of suspension as is. As a result, all services, including withdrawing savings, taking loans and paying interest, have come to a standstill.

Gautam Budh Swavalamban Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Chairman Dipchandra Murau said, "The case is under consideration in the court". Until the court decides, the services cannot be resumed . The interruption in the service of the cooperative has caused hardship to hundreds of savers. This has not only increased economic crisis, but also social and mental stress. The life of the village has been affected due to the closure of the service of the cooperative. Savings made for wedding, medical and emergency expenses are now kept behind closed doors.'

Ward President of Sammarimai-6 Taulan Kewat said that if the service delivery of the cooperative is not resumed, public trust in the cooperative will be lost forever. There is only one question of the saver, 'When we saved with faith, nothing is left after it does not support us in the emergency . If the regulatory body of the cooperative, the concerned municipality and even the court do not intervene seriously, not only the economic crisis, but also the fear of social crisis will increase.
